About the role
- Industrial Services Technician supporting GFL Environmental’s waste-management operations across Ontario. Performing industrial cleaning, vacuum-truck assistance, confined-space work and heavy equipment operation.
Responsibilities
- Monitor assigned projects day to day
- Maintain cleanliness of tools, equipment and the Industrial Services Shop
- Perform power washing and high-pressure water blasting
- Perform line snaking, drain and pipe inspections
- Conduct industrial cleaning of chemical non-hazardous and hazardous wastes
- Assist with vacuum trucks and plant operations
- Perform confined space entry and rescue for Industrial Services projects
- Work in tight or cramped spaces
- Work while using respirators or supplied-air breathing apparatus
- Perform shoveling, jack hammering, squeegee work, scraping and heavy lifting
- Operate pick-up trucks, utility trailers, forklifts, excavators and bobcats
- Operate aerial boom lifts and scissor lifts
Requirements
- 2–5 years’ experience in Industrial Cleaning and Maintenance strongly preferred
- Previous experience with Vacuum Trucks, Industrial Power-washing or Water-blasting, or Liquid Waste Industry experience strongly preferred
- Previous experience with Confined Space Entry or Work at Heights an asset
- Experience working with Respirators and Supplied Air Systems an asset
- Ability to work flexible hours/shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends or holidays
- Class G license required
- Comfortable driving and maneuvering a pick-up truck and trailer unit
- Valid work authorization in the country where the job is located
- Must provide valid documentation confirming work eligibility before start date
