Responsibilities
Understand client objectives and remain attentive and responsive to evolving client needs
Demonstrate knowledge of market data and access to resources to respond quickly to new developments in clients’ businesses
Oversee support for tasks related to managed inventory to improve client understanding, increase touchpoints within the client group, and drive sales results
Understand Grainger’s value proposition by delivering solutions that increase profitable sales volume
Develop account-penetration strategies, including regular reviews of key customers’ business activities to maximize sales
Requirements
More than 2 years’ experience in outside direct sales (or equivalent experience in inside sales or marketing)
Sales forecasting, opportunity management, and account planning
Process discipline and the ability to align planning objectives with a pipeline-development process to grow market revenue
Ability to use sales processes to uncover customer objections and concerns and determine the appropriate solution
High school diploma or GED (post-secondary education preferred)
