Bilingual Industrial Technician responsible for testing and repairing safety equipment at Grainger. Collaborates onsite and maintains safety standards while serving customers in Canada.
Responsibilities
Test, troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair equipment, documenting work and preparing estimates.
Operate hand and power tools and maintain parts inventory for mobile units and shop.
Manage product inventory, including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and loading/unloading delivery vehicles.
Prepare and review shipping/receiving documentation using SAP, including rental equipment handling.
Maintain an organized, clean work area and uphold company principles through teamwork and accountability.
Participate in EHS (COR) program, observe safety regulations, and complete required training.
Adapt to additional duties as business needs evolve.
Requirements
Due to the nature of this role, bilingualism (French fluency, basic knowledge of English) is a requirement.
High school diploma
Strong time management, multitasking skills, and mechanical aptitude
Obtain two manufacturer certifications within the first year (training provided by Grainger)
Proficient with computer systems and software
Strong math skills, self-motivated, team player attitude
Able to lift 50 lbs. and hold a valid driver’s license (travel required ~50% of the time)
Valid passport for occasional U.S. travel for training
