About the role
- Bilingual Industrial Technician responsible for testing and repairing safety equipment at Grainger. Collaborates onsite and maintains safety standards while serving customers in Canada.
Responsibilities
- Test, troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair equipment, documenting work and preparing estimates.
- Operate hand and power tools and maintain parts inventory for mobile units and shop.
- Manage product inventory, including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and loading/unloading delivery vehicles.
- Prepare and review shipping/receiving documentation using SAP, including rental equipment handling.
- Maintain an organized, clean work area and uphold company principles through teamwork and accountability.
- Participate in EHS (COR) program, observe safety regulations, and complete required training.
- Adapt to additional duties as business needs evolve.
Requirements
- Due to the nature of this role, bilingualism (French fluency, basic knowledge of English) is a requirement.
- High school diploma
- Strong time management, multitasking skills, and mechanical aptitude
- Obtain two manufacturer certifications within the first year (training provided by Grainger)
- Proficient with computer systems and software
- Strong math skills, self-motivated, team player attitude
- Able to lift 50 lbs. and hold a valid driver’s license (travel required ~50% of the time)
- Valid passport for occasional U.S. travel for training
