Responsibilities
As the ERP Product Owner (Product Owner) for Funéraire 365, you will be the primary point of contact for a major client and lead a dedicated team.
Ensure delivery (quality, timelines, scope), protect the contract and the team, and maintain strong project governance.
Lead program governance: facilitate weekly committees, organize steering reviews, and conduct executive follow-ups with the client.
Align and arbitrate stakeholders: clarify expectations, facilitate decisions, and maintain a clear delivery framework (scope, milestones, responsibilities, processes).
Define and protect the scope: formalize the contractual scope (SOW, backlog, objectives) and rigorously defend it against scope-change requests.
Manage change requests: qualify each request, assess impacts, arbitrate and professionally refuse or replan items outside scope when necessary.
Orchestrate priorities and dependencies: sequence deliverables, manage team capacity, and quickly adjust scheduling according to urgencies, risks and constraints.
Gather and analyze business needs: act as an ERP-focused Product Owner by translating requirements into user stories, requirements and actionable acceptance criteria.
Organize validations and demos: oversee demonstration sessions, drive user acceptance testing (UAT) and coordinate deployments to production.
Protect the team: act as a shield against client pressure, avoid firefighting (“cowboy”) mode and preserve the team’s stability and focus.
Maintain structured communication: establish clear channels that define what, when, why and under which rules to communicate with all parties.
Provide program reporting: produce regular reports on status, risks, decisions made, dependencies and upcoming key milestones.
Requirements
University degree in business administration, project management, information systems or a related field (an asset).
Significant experience leading complex ERP programs/projects.
Proven experience in an execution- and governance-oriented role.
Fundamental accounting knowledge (financial statements, AR, AP, trusts) is an asset.
Exceptional assertiveness: ability to say no, refocus and firmly maintain scope.
