About the role

  • Service Sales Representative selling industrial UPS systems for Gutor across Canada. Building customer relationships, winning new business, managing territories, and meeting sales targets with frequent travel.

Responsibilities

  • Build business by identifying and selling to prospects and maintaining client relationships
  • Sell the company’s UPS products and related services within an assigned territory or market segment
  • Contact and secure new business accounts and customers
  • Establish, develop, and maintain relationships with current and prospective customers
  • Provide customer support, information, guidance, and service improvements
  • Analyze territory and market potential and determine customer value
  • Create and manage customer value plans for existing customers
  • Meet sales targets for the territory
  • Update the customer database and record and process orders
  • Submit weekly work plans and monthly and annual territory analyses to management
  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints and recommend solutions
  • Coordinate sales efforts with marketing, sales management, accounting, logistics, and technical service groups
  • Plan and organize sales strategy to maximize return on time investment
  • Evaluate competitive developments and recommend changes in products, services, and policy
  • Identify prospects and evaluate business opportunities through industry research and analysis
  • Keep informed about product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitors, and promotional trends
  • Prioritize customer care and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Travel nationally 40% of the time, with occasional international travel

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Electrical/Electronics or Business
  • 3–5 years of sales experience
  • Strong sales, business development, and prospecting capabilities
  • Proven negotiation, influencing, and closing skills
  • Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships
  • Customer-focused mindset with strong client service orientation
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to consistently achieve sales targets and business objectives
  • Strong territory/account management and sales planning skills
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently
  • Creative problem-solving and proactive decision-making abilities
  • Strong product knowledge and ability to articulate value propositions effectively
  • Availability to travel 40% of the time nationally
  • Occasional international travel required
