About the role

  • Marketing Coordinator executing direct mail, digital marketing, and alternate-media campaigns for HarperCollins Canada’s book publishing business. Supporting campaign planning, production, reporting, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute direct inshipment programs, including direct mail, digital marketing, and alternate media, to support DTC financial objectives
  • Assist the Manager with developing bulk and test marketing plans for inshipment program objectives
  • Coordinate promotional material development and ensure objectives and deadlines are met
  • Review creative copy, generate copy approval outlines, monitor the approval process, and write production instructions
  • Proofread promotional materials at each creative stage to ensure requirements are met
  • Set up, maintain, and communicate campaign overview details to internal and external stakeholders
  • Generate and process promotional details, campaign progress reports, spending reports, and purchase orders
  • Review processes and operational aspects of inshipment programs to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and encourage innovation
  • Recommend methods to reduce complexity through innovation or creative process efficiencies
  • Monitor, report, and present campaign results at applicable stages for all programs

Requirements

  • Post-secondary diploma/degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline
  • 0 to 2 years of progressive experience in Marketing
  • Experience developing and executing Direct Marketing campaigns is an asset
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Exceptional organization skills and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
  • Detail oriented with ability to coordinate complex campaigns under tight deadlines
  • Creative thinking skills to assist with developing innovative marketing plans and problem solving
  • Ability to work in an office environment
  • Some travel within North America may be required
  • Ability to perform periods of sitting, keyboarding, and visual review of detailed marketing plans
