About the role

  • Marketing Manager shaping Sapling’s brand, campaigns, and growth strategy. Driving demand generation for a Toronto management consulting firm serving mid-market and investment clients.

Responsibilities

  • Translate business goals into actionable marketing strategy and plans
  • Define target audiences, campaigns, channels, and resource allocation
  • Craft differentiated messaging and value propositions for CEOs, CFOs, private equity partners, and investment bankers
  • Manage Sapling’s online, LinkedIn, and in-person presence
  • Promote the team’s financial thought leadership
  • Create and support internal thought leadership content across the marketing funnel
  • Oversee campaign execution, coordination, timelines, and budgets
  • Monitor campaign results and optimize based on data insights
  • Execute a lead and customer keep-warm strategy with the sales team
  • Conduct market, customer, competitor, and campaign research
  • Analyze customer needs, engagement, and buying-experience friction
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a Marketing Analyst and marketing interns/co-ops
  • Manage external vendors and professional association partnerships
  • Collaborate with leadership, consulting, sales, and administrative teams on growth goals
  • Build a larger high-performing marketing team as the company grows
  • Allocate and monitor marketing budgets to maximize returns
  • Define performance metrics and analyze results against goals

Requirements

  • 5+ years of prior marketing experience
  • Strong preference for experience in consulting, professional services, or B2B services
  • Understanding of B2B buyer journeys, demand generation, lead nurturing, and conversion optimization
  • Proven ability to develop sharp messaging and positioning for complex, multi-stakeholder services
  • Strong track record managing people, projects, and budgets with successful measurable outcomes
  • Self-starter with high creative standards who takes ownership
  • Comfortable working in a high-performance, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong understanding of and experience using CRM systems, marketing automation platforms, and digital analytics
