- Consulting Manager leading Cayenta utility and municipal CIS implementations from inception through stabilization. Managing consultants, budgets, client relationships, solution oversight, and AI-enabled delivery improvements.
Responsibilities
- Lead Cayenta CIS software implementation and professional services engagements from inception through go-live and stabilization
- Manage and mentor Application Consultants and project resources across consulting tiers
- Provide solution oversight across concurrent Cayenta CIS implementations
- Allocate and balance resources across client engagements while optimizing utilization and billable ratios
- Foster an agile, accountable team culture focused on problem-solving, continuous learning, and career growth
- Assist with performance evaluations and report team performance statistics and trends to senior management
- Drive repeatable delivery frameworks, including fit-to-standard configuration, industry templates, and training-first user adoption
- Lead complex or greenfield CIS solutions, custom modifications, new utility types, regulatory environments, and first-time integrations
- Review solution architecture, integration design, and data conversion approaches
- Drive continuous improvement of Cayenta’s implementation methodology and documentation
- Lead client workshops to explain the Cayenta CIS product and gather requirements
- Partner across departments on sales-to-services handoffs and post-go-live transitions to Customer Support
- Conduct post-implementation retrospectives and coordinate handoffs
- Establish, track, and manage project budgets, cost estimates, allocations, project health, milestones, go-lives, and variance reporting
- Maintain client relationships and communication with executive sponsors and steering committees
- Identify delivery risks, plan mitigations, coordinate change control, and resolve escalations
- Apply broad knowledge across Cayenta CIS implementations to new situations
- Plan and deliver internal consultant training and Harris user conference sessions as requested
- Champion AI-assisted tools for statements of work, status reports, test documentation, meeting summaries, and variance analysis
- Develop and implement best practices, standards, and processes for the Cayenta professional services team
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a professional services or consulting role, ideally within utility/municipal software implementations
- 4+ years of experience in a senior/managing consultant role, with a track record across 4 or more complex CIS implementation projects or 20+ successful upgrades, or 2+ years of formal leadership experience for candidates coming from a people-management track
- Proven track record of successfully managing multiple concurrent software implementation projects for utility or municipal clients
- Working knowledge of the utility customer-to-cash lifecycle and/or public sector implementation environments
- Demonstrated capability in managing project P&L, budget forecasting, consultant utilization, and contract scope control
- Practical knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid software implementation methodologies
- Experience with PSA/project and test management tools, including Jira, CayStone/SpiraTest, ServiceNow, Power BI, and Excel
- Outstanding written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage executive client relationships and cross-functional teams
- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
- Current, valid passport
- Legally eligible to travel internationally, including having passport-based visa exemption or required travel visas for Canada, the United States, and the Caribbean
