About the role

  • Data Analyst diving deep into data for player behavior insights to shape future games at Hyper Hippo Entertainment. Creating predictive models, dashboards, and reports for business strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and articulate risks and opportunities in our live game operations through detailed analysis and interpretation of our data
  • Design and develop predictive models to support business forecasting, strategic planning and scenario analyses that inform decision making
  • Act as an interpreter and bridge between data and the business by creating thoughtful reports and dashboards, helping to visualize insights that our teams can use every day
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with all members of the team, sharing insights and tools that champion change and innovation within our live game operations
  • Architect of data quality policies and governance that promote integrity in our data and consistency in our review and policy

Requirements

  • Proficiency with data visualizations tools (Tableau, Databricks AI/BI), Excel, SQL
  • Experience working in data analytics, and previous game industry experience is considered a plus
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in computer science, statistics, physics, or other technical field related to measurement & analysis
  • Excellent quantitative skills, understanding of statistics, predictive modelling & ability to synthesize complex data into the “big picture”
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment prioritizing competing demands
  • Familiarity with app analytics tools (e.g. Amplitude, Mixpanel, Google Analytics)
  • Familiarity with data analysis & statistical methods; Python/R scripting skills a plus
  • Ability to look at large complex data sets, formulate meaningful conclusions and succinctly communicate them via written and verbal presentation
  • Flexible team player who can effectively work with colleagues from different backgrounds and domains of expertise
  • Experience working in a mobile or web environment
