About the role

  • Claims Analyst on subrogation team advising on claims investigations and analyzing recovery potential. Collaborating with adjusters and external parties for optimal claim resolutions in Québec.

Responsibilities

  • Advise claims adjusters in their investigations
  • Analyze and review files with recovery potential
  • Process and assess files to maximize recovery potential
  • Negotiate with third parties to recover indemnities
  • Prepare litigation summaries and collaborate with the litigation department
  • Ensure prudent management of external fees and costs
  • Attend settlement conferences and trials
  • Document files according to company standards
  • Participate in catastrophe response when required

Requirements

  • Claims adjuster certification (5A)
  • At least 5 years of experience in settlement/examination of property and/or auto claims
  • 3 years of experience in recovery or liability
  • Post-secondary diploma in a field relevant to the position, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Studies in legal techniques or law (asset)
  • Bilingual (French and English)
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite and its applications
  • Autonomy
