About the role
- Claims Specialist investigating complex property claims for high-net-worth customers at Intact Prestige. Leading investigations and negotiating settlements with excellent customer service and technical expertise.
Responsibilities
- Investigate high-value and complex personal lines property claims in a timely and respectful manner
- Perform field inspections and related tasks to support multiline adjusters, while also directly managing field property claims
- Provide a superior quality of customer service to external and internal customers
- Document the claims file by meeting with all involved parties and obtaining appropriate reports and statements
- Analyze the information gathered, interprets insurance policy wordings, determines coverage, assesses damage
- Negotiate with customers, claimants, lawyers, and insurers to settle claims
- Keep up to date on Intact’s Prestige products, appraisal and investigation techniques, and services.
Requirements
- 3+ years experience handling personal property claims with direct field experience as an asset
- Willing and able to travel on short notice, including to provinces outside your assigned region
- Completed or working towards a Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation
- Demonstrates a passion for customer service with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated and goal oriented, capable of working in a fast paced and changing environment
- Strong aptitude for technology with excellent computer skills
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
