About the role
- Property Claims Adjuster II helping customers with property claims at Intact. Collaborating with adjusters to investigate claims and providing top-notch customer service.
Responsibilities
- Provide a superior quality of customer service to external and internal customers, through proactive contact with the customer during the claims process.
- Assess and analyze policy wordings and damage to determine appropriate coverage.
- Investigate property claims in a timely manner through communication with the customer, vendors, experts, adjusters and any other related parties
- Negotiate with customers, third parties and insurers to settle claims, within your established authority scope.
- Stay in the know about current insurance products and trends in appraisal and investigation techniques and services.
Requirements
- A college diploma or a university degree is preferred
- Minimum 2 years of property adjusting experience
- Experience in handling Condominium and/or Commercial lines preferred
- Demonstrates a passion for customer service with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated and goal oriented, capable of working in a fast paced and changing environment
- Demonstrates strong problem solving and priority management skills
- Strong aptitude for technology with excellent computer skills
- On-going commitment to self-development
- Willing to pursue your Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation
