About the role

  • Product Owner leading merchandising planning capabilities in ERP solutions. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven planning solutions for global retailers.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and prioritize the product backlog for merchandising planning in alignment with the product strategy
  • Define and refine user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies and ensure backlog readiness
  • Ensure predictable, high-quality delivery of features
  • Collaborate closely with merchandising and planning teams
  • Translate business processes into scalable system capabilities
  • Ensure alignment with key metrics (sales, margins, sell-through, inventory turnover)
  • Define detailed requirements for planning modules
  • Consider performance and scalability of solutions
  • Use AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) to enhance analysis, documentation, and the backlog
  • Collaborate with data teams to support decision-making
  • Continuously improve quality, performance, and usability

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Supply Chain, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Product Owner certification (CSPO or equivalent) is an asset
  • 3 to 6+ years of experience as a Product Owner or business analyst in merchandising or planning systems
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: merchandising planning, assortment planning, financial planning (Open-to-Buy (OTB), margins, sales forecasting)
  • Solid understanding of retail KPIs (sell-through, GMROI, margins, inventory turnover)
  • Knowledge of APIs, integrations, and data models
  • Exposure to analytics or AI tools
  • Curious and open to learning new products
  • Strong command of Agile/Scrum methodologies and the product lifecycle
  • Understanding of data models, workflows, and system interactions
  • Experience with: enterprise integrations (ERP, merchandising and planning systems), APIs, data mapping, XML/JSON, SQL and relational databases, ideally Oracle
  • Experience with AI tools (Copilot, LLM-based tools)
