About the role

  • Product Designer (AI) shaping user experiences across audio plugins and web platforms at LANDR. Collaborating with product managers and developers to create intuitive, impactful designs.

Responsibilities

  • AI-assisted exploration: Use generative tools to rapidly iterate on interface concepts, moodboards, and user flows, exploring a wider range of directions in less time.
  • Rapid prototyping: Design functional, high-fidelity prototypes using modern “prompt-to-design” and “prompt-to-code” tools to validate ideas before development.
  • Maintain an intelligent design system: Contribute to the evolution of our Figma design system by integrating AI-enhanced components and automated documentation.
  • Design audits: Use AI-driven audit tools to ensure visual consistency, accessibility compliance, and adherence to UX best practices across our product suite.
  • Collaborate and align: Work with PMs and developers to ensure your designs are not only aesthetic but also technically feasible and aligned with our strategic objectives.
  • User research synthesis: Use LLMs to synthesize user research and usability test data, turning raw feedback into actionable insights.
  • Be proactive: We value "speed to insight." Don’t wait for permission to optimize a workflow or improve the user experience.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience designing digital experiences, ideally in a SaaS or creative tools environment.
  • Active use of generative AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Midjourney) to explore concepts, solve problems, and optimize design processes.
  • Iterative working approach that favors "deliver and learn" and rapid experimentation.
  • Strong user empathy and the ability to design solutions that address real creative frustrations.
  • A deep passion for music and a solid understanding of the production process (DAW, plugins, etc.), including the "flow" state sought by musicians.
  • Excellent command of English and French, both written and spoken.
  • Advanced expertise in Figma (auto-layout, variables, library management, and design systems).
  • Experience with an AI-augmented design stack (e.g., Magic Patterns, Figma Make, Relume, Loveable, Framer AI, or similar tools).
  • Proficiency with language models (LLMs) for content generation, user research synthesis, and workflow automation.
  • Experience designing audio interfaces, plugins, or complex creative environments.
  • Strong understanding of visual storytelling, including typography, color theory, and the intersection of music and visual technology.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation based on your role, experience, and expertise
  • Health insurance coverage, including telemedicine via Maple and an Employee Assistance Program through PeopleConnect
  • Access to our RRSP (retirement savings) program, including employer contributions of up to 2% of your annual salary
  • Frequent office and social events (catered lunches on Mondays, bagels on Tuesdays, after-work 5@7 gatherings, etc.)
  • Your birthday is a day off
  • Annual allowance for public transit (Montréal employees) and for sports activities
  • Free access to our music studio (for practice or recording)
  • Free access to LANDR and Reason products
  • Open downtown office space near Square-Victoria metro station
  • Opportunity to join the LANDR band
  • Partnerships with local music events and festivals (MUTEK, Pop Montréal, Igloofest…)
