About the role

  • Land Representative at LandSolutions, managing land acquisition and stakeholder engagement across New Brunswick. Collaborating with internal teams and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Execute land and right-of-way (ROW) acquisition projects, ensuring all activities meet project or compliance objectives and standards.
  • Provide regular status updates and detailed records of correspondence and activities.
  • Navigate and interpret legal documents, titles, deeds, and engineering drawings, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project objectives.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of project processes, agreement details, and professional conduct standards.
  • Conduct field work, meet with stakeholders to inform on and negotiate terms and conditions of contracts, and build trusted relationships with communities.
  • Coordinate with public and regulatory bodies, supporting community engagement initiatives.
  • Liaise effectively with landowners, third-party consultants, contractors, and internal teams, including Operations, Construction, Environmental, and Legal Departments.
  • Prioritize safety by adhering to the Occupational Health and Safety Act, company and client policies, and using appropriate safety equipment and practices.
  • Stay proactive in ongoing professional development, enhancing your knowledge of land management with best practices, negotiation, and legislation.

Requirements

  • Relevant experience in land, real estate, appraisal, community relations or right-of-way roles.
  • A degree or diploma in land management, real estate, environmental science, project management, land administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to navigate complex stakeholder dynamics.
  • Proficient in interpreting legislation, legal documentation or contracts, and engineering drawings.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal.
  • Class 5 license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Bilingual in English and French is considered an asset.
