About the role
- Technical Writer creating interactive web products for LawDepot, enhancing usability and engagement for legal documents. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop interactive product questionnaires that customers fill out to create customized legal documents
- Write and edit text to make the creation of legal documents simple and easy for our users
- Collaborate with our Legal, Design, Development and QA departments to create powerful, interactive web products that are optimized for conversion
- Gather and sort through quantitative and qualitative data to determine problem areas and opportunities for improvement across web products
- Implement best practices and explore the creation of new best practices for web products
- Utilize internal tools to implement specifications to a high standard
- Conduct product research and user testing to inform questionnaire improvements
- Develop innovative strategies for increasing user engagement and retention
- Continually develop skills by reading and researching about user experience optimization and digital marketing
Requirements
- Post-secondary education in Communications, Marketing, Law, Business, Library Science, or other relevant fields
- Technical writing experience would be an asset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with conversion rate optimization and A/B testing
- Ability to communicate complicated information in a succinct way that users can understand
- Understanding of conversion optimization, consumer psychology, and online marketing
- Ability to effectively provide and receive feedback
- Self-driven with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to identify opportunities and suggest new ideas
- Quality decision making and sound judgement
- Ability to learn, work with, and troubleshoot various types of technology
- Knowledge of law and legal matters would be an asset
- Working knowledge of UX best practices would be an asset
- Software development knowledge would be an asset
- Bilingual in French, German or Spanish would be an asset
