About the role
- Heavy Equipment Technician repairing haul trucks, loaders, dozers, and excavators for Ledcor’s CNRL reclamation project. Supporting safe, reliable mining operations in Fort MacKay.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy mining equipment including haul trucks, loaders, dozers, and excavators
- Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections to keep equipment running safely and efficiently
- Repair and replace components to OEM standards, focusing on CAT, John Deere, and Komatsu equipment
- Complete service records and communicate equipment status to operations teams
- Work safely with tools and equipment, following all site safety procedures
- Collaborate with mechanics and operations to prioritize repairs and minimize downtime
- Support operations on the CNRL Albian Reclamation project in Fort MacKay
- Work on a fleet of haul trucks, loaders, dozers, and excavators
Requirements
- Hands-on experience in heavy equipment repair (mining or heavy civil preferred)
- Apprentice or Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician Certification
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Experience reading schematics and using diagnostic tools
- Experience with CAT, John Deere, and Komatsu equipment strongly preferred
- Must be available for day / night shifts
- Ability to work 14 days on and 14 days off, 12 hours per day
- Ability to work primarily outdoors and in various weather conditions
