About the role

Responsibilities

  • Assist Investment Counsellors in maintaining and developing relationships with existing clients
  • Support business development and marketing efforts
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for administrative inquiries related to private and institutional client accounts
  • Coordinate Investment Counsellors’ meetings with existing and prospective clients
  • Prepare required presentation materials
  • Respond to client and prospective client inquiries by phone and email
  • Process contribution, withdrawal, and transfer instructions
  • Respond to requests for statements and portfolio reports, tax inquiries, account openings, and general questions about the firm and its services
  • Complete account-opening documentation and manage the onboarding process for new clients
  • Obtain the documentation required to update client files in accordance with regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Liaise with custodians and the accounting, trading, and compliance departments
  • Participate in business development projects, initiatives, and events
  • Support proactive prospect outreach, database management, analytics tracking, and client events
  • Share information and ideas with colleagues to improve team operations
  • Become familiar with the firm’s investment approach and strategies
  • Perform various routine administrative tasks

Requirements

  • College diploma or undergraduate degree, ideally in business administration or a related field
  • Canadian Securities Course (CSC®), an asset
  • Minimum of five years of work experience in the financial services industry
  • Excellent proficiency in the MS Office suite
  • Ability to learn new technology tools quickly, such as portfolio management software and CRM databases
  • Client-focused, with a commitment to providing exceptional service
  • Personable, with strong communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and manage priorities
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and adept at problem-solving
  • Diligent and detail-oriented
  • Team player who thrives in a collaborative work environment
  • Fluency in French and English, both spoken and written
