About the role

  • Bilingual Quality Assurance Engineer at McCarthy Tétrault managing quality assurance standards and testing processes. Supporting applications testing and providing reports to stakeholders from Toronto or Vancouver.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Manager, Quality Assurance with testing/validating applications to manage risks and reduce negative impact to business operations.
  • Planning, designing, leading, participating and executing test scenarios.
  • Writing, revising and verifying test plans to confirm quality of solutions being implemented or upgraded.
  • Executing tests including functional, system, integration, regression, user experience and user acceptance testing.
  • Providing testing reports to key stakeholders including IT Management, Trainers, project managers and business leads.
  • Identifying opportunities and trends and developing recommendations for review.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years experience executing test scenarios and developing quality assurance standards.
  • Solid foundation in functional, system, integration, regression, user experience and user acceptance testing.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • University education.
  • Experience in a Professional Service organization is an asset.
  • CAST or CSQA certification or equivalent in testing principles is an asset.
  • Bilingualism (French/English) is required.
  • Ability to handle multiple concurrent pieces of work, and appropriately applying judgment about the prioritization of effort.
  • Capacity to handle high pressure situations and tight deadlines.
