About the role
- Tactical Buyer at Terra Nova managing procurement and supply chain activities. Supporting operational excellence and communication with suppliers in a hybrid office with a focus on material availability.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and execute MRP action messages (expedite, defer, cancel, reschedule, past due).
- Manage purchase orders and communicate requirements with suppliers.
- Monitor supplier performance and update delivery commitments within ERP systems.
- Resolve supplier invoice, receiving, and material discrepancies.
- Expedite critical shortages and communicate supply risks to stakeholders.
- Support inventory accuracy, material availability, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in supply chain reviews and cross-functional planning activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma required; post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Business, or related field is an asset.
- 2+ years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems preferred.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- SCMP designation or progress toward certification is considered an asset.
