Wildfire intelligence associate reviewing Pano AI smoke alerts and supporting rapid deployments. Building fire-agency relationships, onboarding users, and improving AI-powered wildfire response operations.
Responsibilities
Monitor incoming Pano360 smoke alerts during assigned shifts
Assess incidents using camera footage, location, customer-asset proximity, weather, topography, fuels, fire behavior, and spread potential
Determine which incidents represent meaningful threats to customers
Create clear, actionable customer alerts through established workflows, targeting assessment and alert completion in under five minutes
Travel to active or emerging incidents to support Pano’s Rapid Deploy System
Work from incident command posts and deploy and operate mobile equipment
Train firefighters, government agencies, and other end-users
Establish relationships with local fire departments, emergency management agencies, and community end-users
Lead outreach, onboarding, training, and ongoing engagement
Identify trends, self-audit work, and surface process improvements
Share field and end-user feedback with Product, Customer Success, Operations, and Sales
Help refine alert criteria, workflows, and the customer experience
Requirements
Candidates ideally reside within the U.S. Central or Eastern Time Zone
Hands-on wildland firefighting experience combined with either wildland fire dispatch experience or experience applying wildfire science, technology, intelligence, GIS, or similar tools in an operational wildfire environment
BS / BA degree or equivalent work experience
2+ years of experience in Wildfire, Forestry, and Disaster Management roles
2+ years of professional experience in training and development, sales/marketing, customer success/support, operations, or project management
Strong preference for Federal wildland fire or state fire agency experience
Ability to travel up to approximately 20% of the time
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
Ability to remain calm, professional, and methodical in high-pressure, time-sensitive situations
Proficiency with Google Workspace and ability to quickly learn new tools and systems
Alignment with Pano AI’s mission and empathy for communities and stakeholders
Ability to work a shift-based schedule covering Mountain Time daylight hours
Ability to travel approximately 10–20%, including travel to active wildfire response areas
