Virtual Construction Student supporting innovative infrastructure projects in North Vancouver. Engaging in construction modeling, coordination, and site logistics with PCL Constructors.
Responsibilities
Assist field team in developing key plan visuals for construction schedules and site logistics: site safety, access, trailers, temporary power, hoists, crane swing, and demolition.
Generate tower crane and man/material hoist working drawings (plans, elevations, sections).
Support model coordination and clash detection using Revizto or equivalent platforms.
Process and analyze laser scan data, point cloud registration, working with survey team outputs.
Build and update virtual construction models from plans, specs, and elevations under supervision.
Aid in site logistics modeling and trade-partner model coordination.
Assist with model updates, submissions, and document control as needed.
Promote adoption of virtual construction tools across project teams.
Attend and contribute to project or coordination meetings.
Requirements
Enrolled in or pursuing a degree or diploma in architecture, architectural technology, construction management, civil engineering, or a related AEC discipline.
Working knowledge of Autodesk Revit.
Detail oriented with strong organizational, verbal, and written communication abilities.
Eager to learn, innovative, and adaptable to new technology trends and processes.
Able to manage multiple, competing tasks with attention to detail.
Collaborative and team-oriented, capable of building positive relationships with project stakeholders.
