About the role

  • Intern supporting engineering expansion projects at Grifols, a global healthcare leader in Montreal. Collaborating with process, utility, and mechanical engineers for a manufacturing site expansion.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Engineering department on a manufacturing site expansion project for Grifols Canada Therapeutics in Montreal
  • Work directly with process, utility, automation, and mechanical engineers to support the project
  • Assist engineers with more advanced tasks (e.g., sequence and alarm testing)
  • Assist automation and process engineers with program and equipment testing
  • Work with plumbers, electricians, and other contractors to carry out project tasks
  • Review P&IDs (piping and instrumentation diagrams)
  • Review component lists
  • Gather system documentation

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an engineering program (Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering preferred)
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00/4.33
  • Available for a full-time 8–12 month internship on-site in Montreal
  • Proficient with Microsoft systems; experience with AutoCAD is an asset
  • Ability to interpret piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs); familiarity with single-line electrical diagrams is an asset
  • Team player who enjoys working with others
  • Able to communicate in English and French
