Responsibilities
Prepare inventory protocols for forested environments
Prepare permit applications and authorization certificates associated with projects
Write technical reports and environmental impact assessments
Provide technical advice and support to field teams
Conduct forest inventories, vegetation surveys, and ecological assessments
Compile and analyze data collected in the field
Perform ecological characterizations
Develop, write, and implement sustainable natural resource management plans
Supervise forest harvesting activities and land-use planning
Collaborate with clients, government agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulations and standards
Requirements
Hold a university degree in Forest Engineering
Have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in forest management or a similar role
Possess in-depth knowledge of sustainable forest management principles and environmental legislation
Experience with GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools
Able to work in varied and sometimes challenging field conditions
Excellent communication skills and report-writing abilities
Enjoy tackling challenges, demonstrate initiative, strong teamwork and verbal communication skills, and be deadline-oriented
Hold a valid driver's license
