About the role

  • PwC Canada M&A Operations Senior Manager leading due diligence, integrations, separations, and operational improvements. Driving measurable value for corporate and private equity clients.

Responsibilities

  • Lead project teams delivering operations-focused engagements
  • Manage multiple projects across value creation mandates and lead junior team members
  • Develop and execute operational value creation, restructuring, integration, and separation strategies
  • Manage project stakeholders across functions to ensure alignment, efficient delivery, and client satisfaction
  • Lead functional and cross-functional teams in planning, progress monitoring, and achieving value creation targets
  • Provide hands-on support for functional due diligence, integration, carve-out, structural, and operational improvement mandates
  • Support project and risk identification, quality control, and analysis and deliverables
  • Support business development and pursuit activities
  • Support talent development and performance management
  • Coach and develop team members
  • Evaluate target operations, supply chains, and business processes to identify risks, synergies, and improvement opportunities
  • Develop operational improvement strategies for productivity, cost efficiency, EBITDA growth, and working capital improvement
  • Lead synergy identification, quantification, tracking, and realization during post-deal integration
  • Support operational restructuring, scenario analysis, turnaround planning, and wind-down execution
  • Work on-site with clients to assess performance, identify root causes, and develop implementation plans

Requirements

  • Advisory experience and desire to build trusted advisor relationships
  • Proven full-cycle project management experience
  • Experience managing teams through complex engagements and multiple engagements simultaneously
  • Working knowledge of HR, IT, Finance, Operations, Sales and Marketing
  • Ability to evaluate target operations, risks, supply chains, business processes, and operational capabilities
  • Experience driving operational transformations, productivity improvements, cost efficiencies, and EBITDA growth
  • Experience identifying, quantifying, tracking, and realizing cost and revenue synergies
  • Experience managing stressed or distressed situations, including scenario analysis, turnaround planning, and wind-down operations
  • Industry exposure across sectors such as Industrials, Consumer Products, Energy, Resources, Utilities, Engineering and Construction, Transportation and Logistics, or Business Services
  • Ability to develop and manage strategic client relationships across multiple concurrent projects
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical capabilities and critical thinking
  • Experience supporting business development and pursuit activities
  • Openness to embracing AI, learning new tools, and adapting work practices
  • Commitment to inclusion and developing diverse teams
  • Ability and willingness to travel within Canada and internationally
