About the role
- Engineering Manager leading design and product development for a company impacting sales and manufacturing. Requires mechanical engineering background and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end engineering output from sales handoff through production release
- Ensure drawings are manufacturing-ready, accurate, and aligned with internal standards
- Lead Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) with clarity, urgency, and accountability
- Oversee drafting workflows to ensure predictable, timely delivery
- Balance speed with quality—minimizing rework and shop-floor disruptions
- Partner with Sales during custom quote requests to value-engineer solutions
- Drive product improvements, material optimization, and design innovation
Requirements
- Mechanical Engineering background (degree or equivalent practical experience)
- Experience in product engineering, fabrication, manufacturing, or industrial environments
- Proven ability to translate designs into real-world, scalable production
- Strong understanding of design for manufacturability (DFM)
- Experience working directly with Sales, Production, and Operations
