About the role

  • Director of Product Design at ZayZoon guiding and growing the Product Design team while creating human-centered designs for financial wellness solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize user experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the growing and evolving Product Design team across several product portfolios, providing direction, feedback, and structure to ensure high-quality design output across all product surfaces.
  • Foster an empathetic and psychologically safe team environment that encourages experimentation, creativity, and professional growth.
  • Directly contribute to the implementation and optimization process as a hands-on team member, ready to roll up your sleeves and work within the product.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Data, and Marketing to deliver user-centric experiences that drive customer activation, engagement, usage, and satisfaction.
  • Own end-to-end design processes, from discovery and user research through conceptualization, prototyping, testing, and final UI execution.
  • Establish scalable design systems, documentation, and workflows that increase design velocity and cross-team consistency.
  • Champion user empathy and usability standards, leveraging qualitative and quantitative insights to inform product decisions and drive continuous UX improvement.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in UX and product design for web and mobile products, with 3+ years of direct people leadership experience.
  • Proficiency in our tool stack (Figma, Fullstory, Miro) or similar.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts effectively.
  • Solid understanding of user research methodologies and usability testing.
  • Experience working in an agile development environment, collaborating across disciplines.
