About the role
- Accounting Manager overseeing SaaS revenue recognition and ASC 606 compliance at ServiceNow. Managing close activities, controls, reporting, and subscription contract analysis.
Responsibilities
- Work with team members across multiple offices and partners in Finance, Legal, IT, and Sales Ops
- Monitor relevant US GAAP and SEC developments to ensure revenue recognition procedures comply
- Implement controls and evaluate actions required for compliance with ServiceNow revenue recognition accounting processes, including bookings and billings
- Complete month-end close activities, including revenue reconciliation and management reporting
- Support process improvements and implementation of revenue reporting to improve revenue tasks and shorten the revenue close cycle
- Document reviews following ASC 606 accounting standards
- Provide training on revenue recognition rules and policies to Sales, Deal Desk, Legal, Sales Ops, and other departments
- Perform contract analysis reviews to ensure subscription contracts are properly accounted for
Requirements
- Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving
- 5+ years of applicable accounting experience
- Experience with US GAAP software revenue recognition under ASC 606
- Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) revenue accounting experience is a plus
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft products, especially Excel
- Prior SAP experience is a plus
