Senior Payroll Accountant ensuring accurate payroll calculation and compliance across jurisdictions at GR8 Tech. Overseeing payroll processing, accounting records, and coordination with internal teams and external payroll providers.
Responsibilities
Oversee accurate and timely payroll processing, including salary calculations, deductions, and tax withholdings.
Ensure compliance with labor law, tax regulations, and reporting requirements in relevant jurisdictions.
Control remunerations accruals and open debt.
Analyse labor law in relevant jurisdictions.
Create payment orders.
Maintain payroll accounting records in 1C and MS Business Central.
Perform monthly reconciliations in 1C.
Prepare payroll-related journal entries, analytics, and reconciliations.
Provide payroll data for financial reporting.
Apply internal controls and risk management practices in payroll accounting.
Manage payroll audits and support general financial audits.
Identify discrepancies and resolve payroll issues.
Act as the primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiries (HR, FOP HUB, Treasury, Accounting).
Ensure timely information exchange between internal teams and external payroll providers.
Conduct research with payroll providers in new locations and participate in establishing new procedures.
Requirements
Master’s degree in Accounting / Economics / Finance.
Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounting and Payroll.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, regulations, and payroll accounting standards.
Knowledge of labor law, tax regulations, and payroll compliance requirements.
Analytical skills and ability to identify discrepancies.
Knowledge of internal controls and risk management in payroll accounting.
Experience with payroll or financial audits.
Familiarity with payroll software and ERP payroll modules (including 1C and MS Business Central).
