Responsibilities
Perform payroll-related tasks for employees across multiple entities
Ensure payroll services are delivered efficiently and on schedule
Perform dual validation of activities related to Canadian and U.S. payroll runs
Execute payroll production controls for executives
Reconcile accounts and prepare payments to various vendors
Prepare monthly reports and perform accounting reconciliations
Stay current with payroll laws and regulations
Respond to requests from internal and external clients
Participate in year-end activities for Canadian and U.S. payrolls
Participate in various projects as required
Requirements
College diploma in administration, accounting, finance, or a related field
Holding a Payroll Administrator designation from the Canadian Payroll Association (CPA) or the American Payroll Association (APA) is a significant asset
Minimum of five (5) years of payroll experience (full-cycle Canadian and/or U.S. payroll)
Experience with large-scale payroll software and knowledge of SAP are assets
Strong knowledge of Canadian and/or U.S. payroll practices
Thorough understanding of payroll legislation and regulatory requirements
Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced-level Excel skills required
Bilingual in French and English, both spoken and written
