About the role

Responsibilities
- Process and verify payroll for QSL employees and those of its subsidiaries across five Canadian provinces
- Complete payroll processing steps according to the schedule and in compliance with applicable standards, regulations, and legislation
- Update information related to new hires, terminations, employee movements, leaves, and benefits
- Validate timesheets and follow up with managers on approvals and corrections
- Administer source deductions, benefits, vacation, support payments, and retirement funds
- Ensure compliance with policies regarding leaves, bonuses, overtime, and time banks
- Complete the year-end process and generate the required reports, including T4s, RL-1 slips, summaries, and CNESST reports
- Collaborate with the Accounting and Finance teams
Requirements
- 5 years of payroll experience
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Excellent spoken and written French and English
- Resourcefulness, attention to detail, and thoroughness
- College diploma in Accounting (an asset)
- Diploma from the National Payroll Institute (an asset)
- Experience interpreting collective agreements and working in a corporate environment (an asset)
- French-English bilingualism required for interactions with internal and external stakeholders outside Quebec
