About the role

  • IT Administrator managing internal IT operations for boutique CRM consulting company in Montreal. Focused on maintaining a secure, reliable technology stack and providing user support.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the company’s IT infrastructure, including on-premise and cloud resources
  • Implement and oversee security protocols and conduct regular system updates and audits
  • Install, configure, and upgrade computer hardware components and software applications
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, or network issues promptly
  • Maintain thorough documentation of all IT systems and changes
  • Oversee regular data backup operations and verify that restore procedures work effectively
  • Lead desktop support and helpdesk efforts for our staff
  • Monitor system and network performance, and plan for capacity and storage needs
  • Handle IT onboarding and offboarding processes for employees
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve IT operations and implement best practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5 years of hands-on experience in system and network administration
  • Professional certifications are an asset (Linux, Microsoft, CCNA, Network+)
  • Proficiency with both Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
  • Strong knowledge of network infrastructure (routing, switching, VPNs, DNS, DHCP)
  • Ability to develop scripts or use automation tools (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
  • Experience implementing backup solutions and disaster recovery plans
  • A proven track record of diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues
