About the role

  • Senior Solutions Engineer supporting enterprise sales for Sprout Social’s social intelligence platform. Demonstrating SaaS solutions and translating customer goals into actionable outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical counterpart to Account Executives in a customer-facing environment
  • Act as a product expert for SaaS applications or social media management
  • Explain complex topics in an easily digestible way
  • Understand complex changes and discussions around network APIs
  • Conduct platform demonstrations and consult with prospects and customers to identify goals and objectives
  • Translate customer needs into actionable next steps
  • Position Sprout Social’s solution against competitors
  • Speak to changing social media trends, new product features, and platform enhancements
  • Build relationships with Account Executives to coordinate net new business and expansion opportunities
  • Contribute to the Solutions Engineering team by creating Sales training materials and onboarding new Solutions Engineers

Requirements

  • 5+ years of tech/SaaS experience in a Solutions Engineer role partnering with Account Executives and selling into Enterprise customers
  • Experience demonstrating a software platform through presentations
  • Preferred: Understanding of social networks, particularly Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, and social media strategy for large organizations
  • Preferred: Experience presenting to Marketing and Social Media professionals, including Directors/VPs of Marketing and CMOs
  • Preferred: Ability to work on multiple projects while supporting the Sales team
  • Preferred: Understanding of all components of the software sales process
  • Preferred: Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to present to varied external audiences
  • Candidates must be based in Alberta, British Columbia, or Ontario, Canada
