About the role

  • Wealth operations specialist launching Sun Life’s new investment dealer. Developing processes, supporting platform projects, and managing day-to-day transactions and reconciliations.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a subject matter expert on enterprise-level wealth management and operations initiatives
  • Develop dealer processes and implement workflows to deliver excellent service to advisors and clients
  • Lead operational excellence within the wealth business through efficient, best-in-class processes
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external partners
  • Liaise with advisors, compliance, product, management, carrying brokers, third-party vendors, and manufacturers
  • Lead or support projects related to establishing and enhancing the dealer platform
  • Lead operational processing and day-to-day business requirements, including transaction processing, reconciliation, fees, account management, and other operational activities
  • Complete special projects as requested

Requirements

  • Requires over 5 years or more of wealth operations experience
  • Organizational awareness and proven success in delivery
  • Strong strategic vision with proven leadership and relationship management experience
  • University Degree Required; continuing education preferred (CFA, CSC)
  • Proven practice and understanding of the Sun Life Framework and Strategic Goals
  • Strong judgment with excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including facilitation
  • Attention to detail with an ability to see the "big picture" and articulate essential facts
  • Experience leading teams of analysts and Subject Matter Experts on large and complex technology projects
  • Project Management and Process Improvement skills
  • Experience implementing technology, including change management, and interacting with Business Architecture
  • Strong organizational and/or industry knowledge with ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, complex, and ambiguous environment
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to communicate for an executive-level audience
  • Strong interpersonal skills to guide others to a desired conclusion and hold them accountable
  • Understanding of Wealth Products and Wealth Operations an asset
  • Ability to develop, communicate and deliver on business strategy
  • Bilingualism (French and English, both oral and written) required for Quebec locations
