About the role
- Sun Life expense management leader overseeing $14B in annual expenditures. Coordinating planning, reporting, automation, and governance for corporate financial operations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee management of more than $14B in annual expenditures
- Collaborate with Business Group partners to develop and communicate consolidated expense reporting and insights to senior leaders
- Coordinate expense components of annual Strategic Plan and Business Plan deliverables
- Execute digitization and automation expense priorities
- Lead or support resolution of ad hoc information requests from senior leadership
- Build strong relationships with Corporate and Business Group partners
- Report to the Director, Expense Management
Requirements
- CPA, MBA, or other Finance designation preferred
- Progressive experience within financial management functions
- Proven track record of partnering with and influencing stakeholders across various business areas
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate internal and external reporting
- Superior communication skills for executive-level communication
- Ability to manage complexity and ambiguity with a can-do attitude and ownership mindset
- Excellent multitasking, prioritization, and time management skills
- Experience in the insurance industry or a large financial institution is an asset
- Working knowledge of Hyperion, SAP, Longview, Workiva, or Tableau is an asset
