About the role

  • Technical Growth Content Specialist creating accurate, AI-discoverable educational content for Tailscale, which securely connects people and devices. Driving enterprise adoption, self-serve revenue, and measurable growth.

Responsibilities

  • Create hyper-relevant technical content that drives measurable growth from search insights, customer questions, and community signals
  • Monitor Twitter, Hacker News, and Reddit conversations and turn emerging questions and trends into timely content
  • Partner with the AI & Organic Search Manager to convert discoverability opportunities into high-impact content
  • Build hands-on experience with Tailscale to create credible, practical technical content
  • Produce content at high velocity while maintaining technical accuracy and editorial quality
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing, Product, Engineering, Developer Relations, Docs, and subject matter experts
  • Refresh, expand, and optimize existing content using performance insights and customer feedback
  • Develop an AI-first content program using search, customer, product, and performance insights
  • Support strategic initiatives with technical content that drives self-serve revenue and product adoption

Requirements

  • 3–6+ years of experience in growth technical content marketing, technical writing, developer marketing, journalism, or a related field
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly
  • Familiarity with SEO and AI discoverability best practices
  • Experience creating educational content for technical or enterprise audiences
  • Comfortable learning new technologies and building with products
  • Experience using AI tools to research, draft, and improve content quality and production speed
  • Strong collaboration skills with engineering, product, and marketing teams
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
