About the role

  • Group Manager leading specialized insider-risk investigations at TD, a major North American bank. Managing investigators, regulatory risk, complex cases, and team performance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead a team of specialized professionals conducting analysis and investigations for insider risk
  • Assign and monitor caseloads to minimize regulatory risks and losses to the bank
  • Lead day-to-day operations and deliver quality service and transaction processing
  • Review incoming files and allocate them to Investigators/Investigative Specialists
  • Conduct assigned investigations as a working lead while ensuring proper standards are followed
  • Prepare documents for criminal and non-criminal proceedings
  • Collaborate with other institutions, public-sector organizations, government, and law enforcement to gather intelligence
  • Ensure investigations are professionally and promptly completed
  • Identify procedural weaknesses and follow up on corrective actions
  • Monitor emerging trends and investigative techniques
  • Represent the department on internal projects and committees
  • Contribute to business planning and operationalize assigned plans
  • Develop strategies, recommend enhancements, and monitor program effectiveness
  • Coordinate with HR, Technology, Finance, Risk Management, business lines, and control functions
  • Ensure compliance, reporting, escalation, risk management, and alignment with regulatory requirements
  • Set team targets, develop employees, conduct performance reviews, coach staff, and manage performance
  • Hire talent, make compensation decisions, handle disciplinary actions, and foster a cohesive, diverse team
  • Act as a brand ambassador for TD

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
  • 7+ years experience
  • Broad and in-depth knowledge of investigative techniques, proper protocol, and financial criminal trends
  • Ability to present and make recommendations to senior management and executives
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of businesses, technology, and organizational practices/disciplines
  • Sound to advanced knowledge of external competition, industry, and/or market trends
  • Ability to manage investigative caseloads and resource allocation
  • Ability to work onsite 4 days a week
  • Compliance with applicable internal and external requirements, Bank and industry codes of conduct
  • Language Requirement (Quebec only): Sans Objet
