About the role

  • Operations Analyst leading requirements management, data analysis, and operational readiness for TD Securities’ capital-markets projects. Supporting regulatory reporting, testing, governance, and stakeholder delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a diverse range of stakeholders and adapt communication style to different audiences
  • Analyze impacts on customers, stakeholders, employees, processes, and technology solutions
  • Own project deliverables related to business requirements
  • Identify and manage required project outcomes with stakeholders
  • Contribute to change management practices, including stakeholder analysis, gap analysis, and change planning
  • Collaborate with project managers and business sponsors to assign project resources
  • Lead requirements management for projects based on complexity, size, budget, and governance levels
  • Define business needs and problem statements and identify potential solutions
  • Identify scope changes and analyze impacts on project benefits and risks
  • Plan, elicit, analyze, document, communicate, and manage business requirements
  • Document and validate current-state processes and design desired future-state processes
  • Maintain requirements traceability and prioritize requirements and scope changes
  • Track requirements risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and constraints
  • Support quality assurance through test script development and solution testing
  • Adhere to enterprise project governance, performance, quality, and compliance controls
  • Complete work packages for operational readiness and manage changing deadlines and priorities
  • Communicate work package progress and escalate issues when appropriate
  • Support implementation and post-implementation activities
  • Forecast, define, and manage requirements effort, costs, and timelines
  • Support vendor RFI/RFP activities when required
  • Contribute to seed funding requests by articulating project scope, benefits, and risks
  • Ensure business requirements documentation is accurate and helps mitigate project changes and costs
  • Analyze requirement change requests and their impact on the original business need
  • Deliver detailed requirements supporting estimates and business cases
  • Mentor junior and peer Business Analysts
  • Provide business analysis guidance and advice to business partners and project teams
  • Build productive relationships with business, stakeholder, and technology partners
  • Lead stakeholders toward agreement and consensus on business requirements
  • Prioritize workload and capacity to meet project milestones
  • Maintain an individual development plan and participate in training and on-the-job learning
  • Participate in team meetings and reward and recognition programs
  • Foster a collaborative, diverse, and positive work environment

Requirements

  • 3-5 years related experience in project management is an asset
  • Experience with Capital Markets and Trade Lifecycle is an asset
  • Knowledge of Financial Instruments and Products is an asset
  • Prior experience with regulatory reporting, including OSC, CFTC, EMIR, MAS, LOPR, MIFID, SFTR, IIROC, CAT, FINRA, and SEC
  • Experience working with Excel, Visio, Project Plan, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of Alteryx, Python, SQL, Java, and Tableau is a strong asset
  • Business Analysis Accreditation is an asset
  • Postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline such as Statistics, Data Analytics, or Economics is an asset
  • Proficiency with data mining and statistical analysis
  • Ability to analyze data for trends and patterns
  • Ability to translate complex business and operational processes into coherent visual process maps
  • Sound to advanced knowledge of business analysis, project delivery practices, and standards across the project life-cycle
  • Understanding of business and user interaction with technology throughout project delivery
  • Ability to work under minimal management guidance and supervision
  • Ability to document current state, define future state, and identify gaps
