About the role

  • Learning and Development Designer creating blended training and performance solutions for TD, a major North American bank. Leading instructional design projects, stakeholder engagement, evaluation, and maintenance planning.

Responsibilities

  • Design high-quality, multi-approach blended learning and performance solutions
  • Design learning and development programs, including instructional frameworks, content mapping, prototypes, drafts, narrative scripts, and storyboards
  • Determine effective blends of instructor-led, hands-on, and web-based learning
  • Design, develop, deliver, and maintain learning solutions, programs, and tools
  • Implement and deliver multiple concurrent projects of varying complexity
  • Track project updates and maintain regular stakeholder and SME communications
  • Ensure learner accessibility, diversity, and inclusion in learning solutions
  • Prioritize workload to meet SLA requirements
  • Act as a subject matter expert in instructional design and development
  • Ensure learning solutions meet quality standards and success criteria
  • Create evaluation, measurement, and maintenance plans
  • Apply external best practices and emerging trends
  • Lead projects and end-to-end processes or functional programs
  • Manage risks, regulatory impacts, and escalation of high-risk activities
  • Share knowledge, provide training, coaching, and guidance
  • Build productive relationships with internal and external business partners and stakeholders
  • Report to a Manager / Senior Manager

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree
  • 5+ years related experience
  • Post graduate education in Adult Learning & Development preferred
  • Certification in Instructional Technology/Human Performance Technology preferred
  • Expert-level knowledge in instructional design and development for all learning approaches
  • Knowledge of learning consulting, program evaluation and measurement, emerging trends, external best practices, and vendors
  • Ability to support medium- to high-complexity projects and initiatives
  • Ability to manage medium- to high-risk projects and solve complex problems involving multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to design accessible and inclusive learning solutions
  • Ability to manage project scope, risks, stakeholder engagement, and problem resolution
  • For Quebec-only roles: maîtrise d’une langue autre que le français to support employees or colleagues requiring services in a language other than French
