About the role

  • Senior Learning Designer at Tecsys responsible for designing and implementing innovative learning strategies and programs. Collaborating with stakeholders to enhance employee and client success.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and delivery of product training strategies and program frameworks for complex software ecosystems, including product integrations and role-based learning paths for end users and implementation specialists.
  • Introduce innovative, digital- and AI-focused instructional approaches to enhance the learning experience.
  • Translate organizational priorities into learning strategies that strengthen professional and leadership capabilities.
  • Co-design an organizational competency framework to support skills development and career growth.
  • Conduct needs analyses (data-driven) to identify skill gaps and learning priorities.
  • Apply instructional design best practices to create content (e-learning, workshops, simulations, on-the-job training) and large-scale, engaging, learner-centered training programs.
  • Design and develop targeted skills development programs for employees, managers, and function-specific audiences as needed (product, engineering, customer success, sales, etc.).
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to translate complex technical content into clear, engaging learning materials.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve programs based on learner feedback, adoption data, and business impact.
  • Benchmark against industry instructional design best practices to ensure the company’s learning solutions remain modern, competitive, and aligned with evolving standards for appropriate and responsible use of AI.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in instructional design, adult learning, or educational technology, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in learning and development, including digital approaches (microlearning, social learning, AI tools, blended programs).
  • Proven experience designing product training strategies and program frameworks for complex software ecosystems in a technology environment.
  • Experience designing and developing online training (expertise in multimedia and content authoring tools).
  • Experience creating competency frameworks.
  • Strong stakeholder management and project management skills.
  • Systems thinking and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Highly self-directed with sound judgment.
  • Experience designing or developing training programs, academies, or certification models for customers and partners in the software domain (ideally SaaS) is an asset.
  • Excellent written and spoken English is essential for effective communication with clients, vendors, business partners, and colleagues outside Quebec.
  • Bilingual (English and French).
