About the role

  • Client Service Analyst II calculating and verifying defined-benefit pension benefits for TELUS Health’s global pension administration team. Reviewing complex cases, guiding junior analysts, and improving processing accuracy remotely across Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Calculate and verify pension benefits in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Perform quality reviews of processing work
  • Provide technical guidance to junior team members
  • Analyze and interpret pension plan rules and applicable legislation
  • Resolve complex member queries and ensure compliance
  • Collaborate with managers and the internal analyst team
  • Participate in production and verification of annual statements and cyclical processes
  • Support special projects that enhance team efficiency
  • Identify and recommend process improvements

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in Defined Benefit pension plan administration
  • Intermediate to senior Excel proficiency
  • Ability to perform manual computations and independently verify system calculations
  • Strong written communication and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to handle complex, varied scenarios with minimal oversight
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively while maintaining high accuracy standards in a regulated environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical thinking
  • Commitment to compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborative mindset and willingness to support and mentor junior team members
  • Comfort working autonomously in a remote environment with strong self-direction and initiative
  • Advanced knowledge of English is required
  • Bilingualism in French or Spanish is a great-to-have
  • Experience with pension administration software or systems is a great-to-have
