About the role

  • Senior Aquatic Project Manager at Triton managing aquatic projects with a focus on environmental responsibility. Leading technical teams and liaising with clients and Indigenous communities in a hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

  • Providing technical and project management leadership on projects with an aquatic biology focus
  • Understanding environmental Best Management Practices and advising clients accordingly
  • Managing, planning, and leading aquatic projects
  • Managing tasks and projects according to approved scopes of works and deliver quality reports on schedule
  • Liaising with Indigenous communities, partners, client representatives, regulators, contractors, and sub-contractors
  • Providing quality and independent reviews for projects
  • Providing an understanding of environmental Best Management Practices and advise clients accordingly
  • Providing mentorship and training for our environmental professional team
  • Leading technical teams to ensure the quality, cost-effectiveness, and timeliness of project deliverables
  • Creating project status reports and maintain project documentation
  • Working collaboratively within the Triton corporate culture.

Requirements

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in biology, environmental science, or related field
  • Technical knowledge in aquatics and fisheries biology
  • Professional biologist designation or eligibility is preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of aquatic field work experience
  • Strong understanding of the Federal Fisheries Act and other Federal and Provincial environmental legislation
  • Strong technical writing, reporting, communication, team leadership and project management skills
  • Experience with environmental monitoring and/or environmental inspection
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative working style
  • Solutions oriented with a pragmatic approach to project execution.
