Senior Environmental Project Manager overseeing diverse projects and ensuring their successful delivery. Collaborating with clients and stakeholders in the environmental consulting sector while providing mentorship to junior staff.
Responsibilities
Planning, organizing, and managing a diverse array of projects, people, and tasks
Successfully managing project delivery through cost-efficient and timely completion of deliverables
Maintaining, establishing, and developing client relationships that facilitate the successful delivery of projects and future opportunities
Cultivating and maintaining relationships with other consultants, construction contractors, regulators, and other stakeholders
Supporting corporate business development initiatives, including compiling and reporting on regional business development opportunities
Leading the preparation of proposals and cost estimates
Maintaining and supporting Triton’s industry‑wide reputation as a leader in the environmental consulting industry
Providing mentorship and training for our junior staff and for the environmental professional team
Maintaining and improving upon Triton and client safety standards
Promoting and maintaining a positive work environment through a culture of teamwork and cooperation within the office, region, and between other areas of the organization
Requirements
Degree or diploma in a related field (e.g., biology, environmental science, geology, geography) is an asset
Experience working within the environmental industry sector
Significant experience in project management (i.e., budgeting, project tracking, cost-accounting and scope control) and leading and supervising of project teams
Knowledge of and experience with provincial and federal environmental standards, and regulations or guidelines
Business development acumen (e.g., client relationships, strategic planning, proposal writing)
A quick learner, easily adapting to new software applications, systems, and business processes
Effective writing skills and ability to produce meaningful reports and proposals
Organized and self-managed, with a collaborative working style
Strong problem solver able to address challenges with effective solutions that improve systems and/or relationships, and with strong strategic thinking skills
Accreditation or eligibility for accreditation with a professional governing body and having a professional designation is preferred.
