About the role
- Claims Adjuster managing out-of-province automobile and cargo claims in Montreal. Collecting witness statements and negotiating settlements on behalf of clients at ClaimsPro.
Responsibilities
- Primarily handle out-of-province automobile claims
- Handle transport and cargo claims by phone and in the field
- Inspect and determine the extent of damage
- Negotiate claim settlements on behalf of insurance companies or policyholders
- Collect statements from policyholders and/or witnesses/third parties
- Investigate facts and circumstances to determine cause and liability
- Provide well-founded recommendations to clients
- Support business development by regularly meeting with existing clients
- Perform duties in accordance with established work standards, policies, and procedures
Requirements
- Valid AMF claims adjuster license — Class 5A
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in claims settlement; experience with automobile claims
- Valid driver's license
- Strong negotiation skills and effective time management
- Team player with a strong customer service orientation
