About the role
- Senior Credit Specialist managing credit activities for VF Corporation in Canada. Supporting brand growth while identifying financial risks within assigned accounts.
Responsibilities
- Manage credit activities for the assigned national portfolio
- Communicate with customers regarding overdue invoices
- Assess the creditworthiness of assigned accounts
- Maintain timely communication with internal departments
- Analyze, identify root causes, and resolve a high volume of customer deductions
- Understand and use vendor portals for payments
- Collaborate with internal partners in finance, customer service, sales, and vendor compliance
- Review orders in “hold” status
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of related experience preferred
- Bilingual in French and English required
- Strong computer skills in Outlook and Excel
- Experience in credit/collections
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Strong math skills required to reconcile accounting data
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Strong negotiation skills
- Financial analysis and collections/customer service experience
