About the role

  • Product Designer at Wave collaboratively crafting user-centered experiences for small businesses. Involving cross-functional teams to improve financial management complexities.

Responsibilities

  • Play a crucial role in the product development lifecycle.
  • Work collaboratively with fellow product designers, researchers, content strategists, product managers, engineers, and customer support.
  • Craft user-centered experiences that help micro business owners thrive by crushing business financial management complexity.
  • Navigate user and business needs during the discovery phase and iterate on product design solutions.
  • Understand and engage in the creation and evolution of Wave's product strategy.
  • Create and execute a research plan in partnership with the User Research Team, conducting concept testing, usability testing, and user interviews.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional product design experience designing for mobile and web apps, with strong knowledge of experience and visual design fundamentals.
  • Humble, open to receive and give constructive feedback, and collaborate with the whole design team.
  • Experience conducting research such as user interviews, usability testing, surveys, etc.
  • Use Figma as your primary design tool and have experience prototyping.
  • Passionate self-starter, exceptional communication skills dedicated to delivering quality.
  • Thrive in an autonomous and collaborative environment while working cross-functionally on design projects from product discovery through to delivery.
  • Stay on top of current design trends and best practices.
