About the role

  • Marketing Communications Manager shaping Xero’s Canadian brand through media, content, and social campaigns. Connecting small businesses and advisors with Xero’s accounting platform.

Responsibilities

  • Build Xero’s profile and deepen customer connection across Canada.
  • Turn regional priorities and global campaigns into Canadian storytelling across earned media, customer communications, content, thought leadership, and social media.
  • Elevate local customer stories and secure high-impact media opportunities.
  • Establish a consistent communications rhythm across earned media, customer stories, thought leadership, and social channels.
  • Create and adapt messaging, pitches, Q&As, and thought leadership pieces for Canadian audiences.
  • Build and activate a pipeline of local customer success stories, testimonials, and advocacy opportunities.
  • Direct day-to-day agency workflows and track campaign performance alongside global and regional teams.
  • Report to the Head of Marketing, Canada, and collaborate with sales, customer success, product marketing, and global brand teams.
  • Manage external PR and social agencies to deliver integrated communications.

Requirements

  • Strong background delivering hands-on communications or marketing campaigns across earned, owned, and social media.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to turn complex topics into clear, engaging narratives.
  • Experience managing agency partners from initial brief through execution and measurement.
  • Sound judgement in managing fast-paced or sensitive issues, protecting brand trust and accuracy.
  • Solid project management skills with proven ability to navigate matrixed global environments and adapt strategy for local relevance.
  • Genuine interest in SaaS, technology, and supporting the needs of small businesses and their advisors.
