Seeking an experienced DNS Lead / Architect to own end-to-end DNS architecture, engineering, and operational excellence across enterprise environments.
Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end ownership of enterprise DNS architecture, design, implementation, and operational support. Manage enterprise DNS platforms including InfoBlox, BIND, Azure DNS, and AWS Route 53 environments. Design and implement highly available, scalable, and resilient DNS infrastructure integrated with Cisco networking environments including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers. Define and implement DNS security strategies including DNSSEC, DDoS mitigation, and authentication integrations such as TACACS+ and RADIUS. Own and govern incident, problem, and change management processes with strong focus on Root Cause Analysis (RCA), service improvement initiatives, and operational excellence. Partner closely with network, cloud, infrastructure, and application teams to deliver critical enterprise services. Drive automation initiatives and AI-enabled operational improvements including predictive monitoring, automated remediation, workflow orchestration, and infrastructure automation. Serve as a client-facing Subject Matter Expert (SME) for architecture reviews, technical audits, compliance initiatives, and infrastructure transformation programs. Develop technical standards, governance frameworks, and best practices for DNS services.
Requirements
10–15 years of overall IT infrastructure experience with strong focus on DNS architecture and enterprise networking. Strong hands-on expertise with InfoBlox, BIND, Azure DNS, and AWS Route 53. Extensive experience with Cisco enterprise networking technologies. Deep understanding of DNS architecture principles, high availability, disaster recovery, and performance optimization. Strong experience implementing DNS security frameworks including DNSSEC and DDoS protection strategies. Experience with AAA technologies including TACACS+ and RADIUS. Strong knowledge of incident, problem, and change management processes. Experience with automation tools and scripting such as Python, PowerShell, Ansible, and API integrations. Exposure to AI-driven operational models and predictive monitoring platforms is highly preferred. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with client-facing experience. Preferred qualifications: Cisco certifications (CCNP / CCIE), cloud certifications (Azure, AWS), experience with enterprise monitoring and observability tools, ITIL certification preferred.
