About the role
- IT Application Support Analyst providing technical support for Payments applications (UNIX/Windows/SQL/Mainframe). Remote/onsite flexibility in Toronto banking environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for Payments applications, with a focus on UNIX, Windows, SQL, and Mainframe environments. Investigate and resolve application issues, ensuring timely resolution to minimize system downtime. Maintain comprehensive documentation of support activities, incident reports, and resolution steps. Collaborate with vendors and service providers to troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues. Monitor system performance using tools such as Dynatrace and utilize AI tools to enhance support efficiency. Lead technical inquiries, coordinate system updates, and support deployment activities. Assist with system configuration, upgrades, and implementation of new features or patches. Support application security protocols and participate in safeguarding information integrity. Work in a team environment, rotating shifts if needed, with a focus on delivering high-quality support.
Requirements
- Strong UNIX experience is essential. Proficiency in Windows operating systems. Experience in technical support roles, with excellent documentation skills. Knowledge of SQL and application monitoring tools like Dynatrace. Basic understanding of mainframe environments is advantageous. Familiarity with SWIFT payments or banking environments is a plus. Development experience (Java, Oracle, SQL) is preferred to understand application workflows. Understanding of AI support tools and application security practices. Ability to work independently and as part of a regional team.
