About the role
- IT Application Support Analyst needed for payment applications support, focusing on UNIX/LINUX, Windows, SQL, and Mainframe environments. Contract role in Toronto, ON.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for Payments applications, focusing on UNIX, Windows, SQL, and Mainframe environments. Investigate and resolve application issues, maintain documentation, collaborate with vendors, monitor system performance using Dynatrace, lead technical inquiries, coordinate system updates, support deployment activities, assist with system configuration and upgrades, support application security protocols, and work in a team environment with rotating shifts if needed.
Requirements
- Strong UNIX experience essential. Proficiency in Windows operating systems. Experience in technical support roles with excellent documentation skills. Knowledge of SQL and application monitoring tools like Dynatrace. Basic understanding of mainframe environments advantageous. Familiarity with SWIFT payments or banking environments a plus. Development experience (Java, Oracle, SQL) preferred. Understanding of AI support tools and application security practices. Ability to work independently and as part of a regional team.
